Car Accident Statistics in North Carolina (2019)

In North Carolina, there were more than 285,000 car accidents in 2019. These wrecks resulted in about 1,470 fatalities and almost 125,230 injuries. Over 51,000 teens were involved in crashes that year. Of the reported contributing circumstances, failure to reduce speed and failure to yield right of way were the main causes for crashes.
